Architectural Control and Covenants Committee (ARC): Responsible for processing applications for all architectural changes and enforcing compliance with the Association documents and reporting decisions back to the property manager, Sequoia Management. Review on a case-by-case basis requests for exterior changes, additions and/or improvements to homeowner’s property. Committee members will also tour the neighborhood periodically to monitor compliance with established community standards. This committee meets monthly.
Grounds Committee: Work with Westmarket property manager, Sequoia Management, in overseeing landscape, snow removal, irrigation and trash removal contracts. Participate in reviewing contract bids, conducting finalist interviews, and voting on recommendations to the Board for these contracts. Participate in the oversight of the selected contractors. Recommend improvements to landscaping. Maintain oversight of condition and maintenance of other HOA property (ie. signs, lights, walking path, stormwater management ponds). Ensure viability of irrigation system and advise BOD of problems and corrective actions. Decide on the priority of the grounds budget items. This committee meets monthly.
Communication Committee: Keep neighbors informed of the latest happenings that affect our community. Develop articles of interest and solicit articles from the Board and other committee Chairs for the community newsletter. Maintain the community website. This committee meets, at a minimum, on a quarterly basis.
Pool & Recreational Facilities Committee: Work with the Westmarket property manager, Sequoia Management, in managing and coordinating with our pool management company to ensure the lifeguard and maintenance obligations in our pool contract are satisfactorily met. Decide on the priority of the pool budget items. Be responsible for monitoring all pool activities and special events and reporting any issues or complaints to Sequoia/BOD. Participate in reviewing contract bids, conducting finalist interviews, and voting on a recommendation to the Board. Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the clubhouse, pool, pool furniture, and athletic courts. Responsible for managing clubhouse rentals. Meet once per month for approximately 9 months out of the year (Feb-Oct).
Social Committee: responsible for the planning and managing of community social events such as pool parties, holiday celebrations, potlucks, etc. Prioritize the social budget items. This committee will occasionally work in conjunction with the Board and/or other committees in the planning of special events and promotions. This committee meets on an as-needed basis.
Neighborhood Watch Committee: responsible for the planning and managing of community neighborhood watch program, neighborhood walks, and block captains. This committee will occasionally work in conjunction with the Board and/or other committees in the planning of the events listed above. This committee meets on an as-needed basis.
